Te Kokota House

Te Kokota House is a brand new two-bedroom home named for the star constellation Hyades. The Mackenzie Region is excellent for stargazing due to the lack of light pollution. With only a few houses around the night sky can be seen extremely well – a special treat to see! Being in the backcountry doesn’t mean being without the comforts of home, with a fully equipped chef’s kitchen and log burner you can snuggle up on a winter’s night or relax on the deck in the summer months.

Te Kokota is full of charm with ply-finished walls, polished concrete floors, and huge windows and sliding doors to absorb the view with the indoor-outdoor flow.  It is situated at the foot of the Ben Ōhau Range on two hectares, 10-minutes away from Twizel.
