Jack Rabbit is a stylish, new café at the Godley Hotel with some of the best views in Lake Tekapo! Enjoy delicious food and organic, fairtrade coffee with beautiful lake and mountain views from our indoor or outdoor seating. Free parking is available.

Come and see what the buzz is all about! This spacious café has yummy food to suit all tastebuds, including gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options. Jack Rabbit is open to the public as well as hotel guests, see current offerings below.

Daily Dose of Yum | 7:30am – 3:00pm
They are serving an All-Day Menu every single day.
Whether you’re after a strong coffee before a hike or settling in for a long, lazy brunch, they’ve got your Tekapo fuel sorted.

Dinner & Good Vibes | Wed – Sun, from 4:30pm
When the evening rolls in, the fun kicks off. Join them for delicious dinners, chilled drinks, and one of Tekapo’s best atmospheres.
They are open until 11:00pm, and sometimes a little later when the crowd’s still buzzing.

Happy Hour | Wed -Sun | 4:30pm – 6:30pm
Kick-start your evening with drink specials and good company.

Jack’s Shack | Fri – Sun from 3:00pm (weather permitting)
When the weather plays nice, their lakefront container bar comes alive. Think cold drinks, epic views, and golden Tekapo afternoons that slowly melt into sunset.

Important note: Dinner is not served on Mondays and Tuesdays. Even rabbits need a little rest.
