Daytime and evening bike rentals at the Mackenzie Country Hotel, located at the corner of Ostler Road (directly off State Highway 8) and Mackenzie Drive in Twizel.

Conveniently based in Twizel township, Lakeland Explorer is your one-stop shop for scenic tours, cycle trips and bike hire. Relax, explore and discover this beautiful region with a small team of passionate locals.

Bike

Choose to hire a bike and explore on your own, or join a range of supported cycle trips for yourself or your group.

Explore the local trails or use their shuttle service (commentary included) to go further afield. They’ll drop you off to explore a section of the famous Alps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail, or enjoy a relaxing spin along one of the picturesque Mackenzie Region hydro canals.

If you’re interested in organising a group cycling trip, contact them. They are flexible and can help groups wanting to arrange a special trip, including transport to and from the trails.

Treat yourself to a fabulous adventure specially designed for small groups to enjoy more of the Mackenzie Region. They offer customised van tours to suit your group’s interests and timetable.
