Ski the Tasman Glacier

Ski the Tasman Glacier

Ski the Tasman Glacier

You may have heard of the Tasman Glacier, but did you know you can ski and snowboard on it?

Your adventure begins with breathtaking views while flying over the Southern Alps, including Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park. You’ll then spend this once-in-a-lifetime experience making turns all the way down the famous Tasman Glacier, the longest glacier in New Zealand.

Suitable for intermediate skiers and boarders, the runs are easy and flowing and approximately 10-12 kilometres long. The terrain varies between open snowfields, deep bowls and ‘canyons’ between seracs (blocks and columns of glacial ice the size of houses). More advanced skiers will also enjoy an expansive and adventurous ski experience.

This day adventure is perfect for groups of friends or family and a great introduction to backcountry skiing.
